About

About Me

Hey, my name is Sarah Reynolds. I am excited to start this new venture with Jackson Tutorial. I have homeschooled my own kids from the beginning of their education and they are finishing up 7th and 8th grade this year. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Freed-Hardeman University and have been tutoring math since I was a senior in high school. I have tutored elementary through college-aged students.

I have loved math for as long as I can remember and I know that not many hold that same sentiment. I like being able to teach math in many different ways to be able to find the one that works with each student. That light bulb moment when they understand what they’re doing is one of the best things in the world!

As for my class, I expect the students to be prepared and punctual. Respect for the teacher, self, and others is important as we have a lot of material to cover in a short amount of time. Where public school students get an hour or more per class for 5 days a week, we will only have an hour and a half one day a week. Because of our schedule and the nature of math, there will be homework and it should be done by the student and turned in on time. Math takes practice. It takes doing problems and figuring out how numbers work; finding patterns, not just in the numbers, but in the methods and procedures. The skills your student learns in math will help with logic, problem solving, unique thought processes, and understanding.

Tuition and Fee Information

Total Amount Due Per Class: $450

*I offer a $30 discount if you pre-pay the whole year by August 1st. Your tuition will be $420.

Monthly Payment Plan: $50

The first month’s tuition is due at the time of registration to hold your student’s place in the class. The following 8 payments are due by the first of each month, September through April. A $10 late fee will be assessed if payment is received after the sixth of the month.

If you drop the class after the refund date you are still expected to pay the full tuition. I cannot fill the spot that your student has taken after this time.

Tuition payments are accepted via PayPal (paypal.me/sreynolds73) or cash.

Tuition is not calculated based on the number of weeks in a month. It is calculated based on the number of weeks in the entire school year, then divided into 9 equal payments. The only discount I offer is if you pay your entire year's tuition before August 1st.

Resource Fee (one time): $40

There is a one-time resource fee of $40 for each class that is due at the time of registration (by July 1st).

My pricing is independent of the other instructors offering classes at the Jackson Tutorial. Therefore, any discounts apply individually and do not cross from instructor to instructor.

Refunds

The $25 tutorial fee is non-refundable. â€‹If you decide not to participate in classes at First Baptist please let us know before July 1. After July 1 there will be no refunds of any kind on money paid on classes or resource fees, regardless of your cancellation of classes.

Registration

Registration/payment through Jackson Tutorial and  registration/payment through my page must be made before your child's spot in a class is secure.

Step 1:

Register with the Jackson Tutorial (www.jacksontutorial.weebly.com). You only need to do this once per student, regardless of the number of individual classes they will be enrolled in. There is a one time $25 per child tutorial fee ($50 family cap), and you will need to fill out the hold harmless form. The tutorial fee is non-refundable and due at registration.

Step 2:

Register for my classes by filling out the registration form on my page. The first month’s tuition and resource fee is due upon registration (paypal.me/sreynolds73) to reserve your place in the class. If you drop the class before July 1, 2020, this tuition payment will be refunded. If the class is dropped after July 1, the payment will not be refunded.
